2009 Firá Chardonnay - Columbia Valley

A luscious yet friendly Chardonnay, fresher than a hickey on a Catholic schoolgirl's neck on the first day of class.
We like to think of this Chardonnay as a Washington style Chardonnay. It's crisp, clean, and citrusy with notes of stone fruit, truly exemplify the stunning power of the Chardonnay grape as intended by nature. Our Chardonnay was fermented in French oak barrels and aged in stainless, allowing only the true characteristics of the grape to shine through in each glass.
Crab cakes and lightly sautéed green beans fresh from the garden will accompany our Chardonnay for a truly spectacular summer evening.

My Derby Wife was inspired by the Rat City Rollergirls of Seattle, WA. Our medium-bodied Merlot from the Wahluke Slope is sure to knock your socks off! Its smooth tannin structure and cherry blossom bouquet perfectly define the rough and tumble, yet smart and sassy imagery found among the awesome women who define roller derby today. My Derby Wife features pin-up style rollergirl artwork by Krysztof Nemeth.
As I like to say: "You better not make my derby wife mad, because my derby wife can beat up your derby wife!"
My Derby Wife Merlot's only true pairing is a kick-butt roller derby bout (that's what we call a game).

Our Cabernet Franc was sourced from the highest quality Washington grown grapes from the Willard Vineyard near Prosser and aged 20 months in American and French oak. This process has imparted flavors of blueberry, cracked pepper, and bell pepper.
A Portobello, roasted red pepper, and goat cheese entrée with lemon asparagus will be naturally complimented by our spicy Cabernet Franc.

Our Malbec was sourced from the highest quality grapes from the Les Collines vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley and aged 20 months in American and French oak. This process has imparted black cherry, leather, watermelon, and electric cinnamon that will rival any produced Malbec.
A prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes will only be enhanced by our succulent Malbec.

This process has imparted flavors of dark cacao, black cherry, cassis and vanilla bean.
Made with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec a decadent chocolate cheesecake with blueberries and raspberries will pair stunningly with our Bordeaux-style blend.
